Charter Overview

Statement of Principles

The Charter is a starting point; a visible, public commitment to the people who work for us, and the customers and communities we serve.

This Charter represents commitment from industry and organizational leaders in British Columbia to create a culture and adopt practices that value health and safety. It is founded on the principle that the effective management of health and safety is essential to long term success, profitability and sustainability.

By supporting this charter senior executives commit themselves to working towards the goal of being corporately sustainable and demonstrating leadership in their communities.

Signing of the Charter

It is not a prerequisite to sign the Charter to attend the event. The CHARTER will be discussed in the afternoon of the event and will be for organizations that have committed to lead this initiative forward. Organizations that elect to sign the Charter will be part of the leadership team that will develop a strategy going forward from the event.
